Let’s remember how the Iraq war started, under false pretenses, and was driven by a group of neo-conservatives–named here–who signed the 1998 “Project on a New American Century.”

…and that the Bush administration sold it to the American public and the media on completely false pretenses. They used it to made George Bush a self-proclaimed “war president,” with all the accompanying political and power perks.

I know that I’m preaching to the choir, here. And I know that this is not breaking news. But I’m hoping that, as the discussion goes on in the media, in classrooms and among friends, each of us remembers to make sure that this information is part of the premise.

Let’s remember that the invasion of Iraq was a war that was in no way accidental or driven by circumstances…
